The Salem Wedding Show brings engaged couples together with local wedding professionals in one place, so you can get inspired, ask real questions, and connect with the people who might actually be part of your big day. Under one roof at the Oregon State Fair & Expo Center, you’ll find a hand-picked mix of regional talent across every category. Photographers, venues, DJs, florists, caterers, dress shops, and more. It’s a fun, productive way to spend a day, and most couples walk out with real planning progress.

There’s a lot you can do online, but some things just don’t translate through a screen. You can’t sample a cake from a website. You can’t tell if a photographer’s energy matches yours from a portfolio alone. At the Salem Wedding Show you get to meet vendors in person, see their actual work, ask the questions that matter to you, and stack up your options all in one afternoon. Couples are consistently surprised by how much ground they cover in just a few hours.

General Admission tickets are $5 before August 24th, $10 through opening day, and $20 at the door once the show is underway. The earlier you buy, the more you save. VIP tickets are limited and only sold in advance, so if that’s what you’re after, sooner is better.

General Admission gives you full access to the show floor, every vendor, and everything going on throughout the day. VIP gets you through the door before the general public, plus a VIP Swag Bag, a Bride to Be Sash, a shot at a $500 Alaska Airlines Gift Card, and more. VIP is limited and advance-only, so don’t sleep on it.

Absolutely, and plenty of couples do exactly that. Vendors often bring show-exclusive pricing and incentives, and the ones in high demand tend to book up quickly. If you find someone you click with, go ahead and lock it in. Book at the show and you can also enter for a chance to win back up to 10% of your contract value through Signed, Sealed & Rewarded. Not a bad bonus for something you were already planning to do.

Start with comfortable shoes since you’ll be covering some ground at the Oregon State Fair & Expo Center. Bring your phone to save contacts and snap photos of things you love, your calendar so you can schedule follow-up consultations on the spot, and a running list of the vendor categories you still need to check off. A lot of vendors now collect contact info digitally, though some still go old school, so throwing a sheet of address labels in your bag with your name, email, phone, and wedding date is still worth doing. A bag will be waiting for you when you walk in.

Anyone who has a say in your wedding planning is worth bringing along. Your partner, your mom, your best friend, your whole planning crew. Having the right people with you means you can make real decisions on the spot instead of going back and forth later. Everyone who attends will need their own ticket.

No, and plenty of attendees come without one. Newly engaged, mid-planning, or just starting to think it all through, there’s something at the show for wherever you are in the process. Having a date or at least a general timeframe does make vendor conversations a little more concrete, but it’s not a requirement to get a lot out of the day.
